I am a 25 year old female with naturally dark brown/black shiny fine hair. I have since childhood been "known" for my healthy hair. However during my teenager years, I became obsessed with my appearance and I had gotten 3 perms and continued to color my hair full head and on and off highlights. I also dieted for many years throughout that time which did contribute to significant hair loss. NOW at 25 I have noticed that my hair is very fragile, breaks easily, is half of the thickness it used to be, and I feel very sad that I put myself through all this torture for no reason. Neither did my hair-dresser ever caution me nor my mother that so much damage to hair and body would not be healthy in the long-term. So now I am hear because I want to restore my hair and body to health. I have been taking a lot of multi-vitamins and I would like to know what else I can do before I lose more hair. (I also fear that I may begin to grey soon and I have just started to stop coloring my hair and I have started to increase more fruits and vegetables in my diet.)
