Muscle spasm in low back last week. Could that cause abdominal muscle strain?
I am moving several states away soon and have been very stressed trying to get everthing done for the move. I have been cleansing also and have been having a lot of die-off and cleansing reactions, so what I am about to describe could be a cleansing reaction too.
Last week, completely unrelated to the move, I was lifting marble tiles for my mom and pulled a muscle in my low back on the left side. I have weak back muscles due to fibromyalgia and a previous herniation. Shortly after the muscle pull, while trying to get better, I started having muscles soreness in my lower abdomen, a couple of
inches above the bikini line, maybe about 6
inches across in diameter. Because of the timing, I thought it could be related to the back spasm. Now the soreness across the low stomach is gone except for one spot. I don't think it's a hernia because it's not in a typical hernia area, there is no bulge and it only is achey when I move a certain way. I think it could be muscle strain because when I move the way it aches, if I put pressure on it, it stops. Could this be from my back spasm? The spasm is about 90% better but my back is still a little achey. I've heard mixed things about core muscles affecting low back pain and vice versa, so I am not sure what to believe. I am overweight and am in the process of losing weight, so I didn't know if that could be contributing. Thanks.
