I also read that MJ would go to homeless shelters and give them money and clothing, just on a whim.

Imaging a ragged homeless guy, all of a sudden he owns a dazzling wardrobe of sequined jackets and gloves!

Just kidding.

That is the story I liked, because he didn't do the "on a whim" donations to brag about and impress the public or make a big deal about, that is just something that he liked to do when he travelled around.
