Hi Anja, I had some hair loss after starting iodine, after about 3 months on 50-100mg a day. I had a hair analysis done on my hair and the tips of the hair had very high levels of lead and aluminium. My friend, a bio-chemist, that did the hair analysis suggested that I may have had the hair loss because my body was trying to get rid of the lead and aluminium and was shedding the contaminated hair. I believe this could be true because my hair is now growing back thicker than before Iodine supps. I have also added silica to my supplement list, and believe that this has also helped my hair to be thicker and grow faster.
I had all the lead and aluminium contaminated hair cut off and the new hair growing through is uncontaminated.
