About 5 years ago my daughter had a wilms tumour and had cardiotoxic chemo. She is at risk of irreversible heart problems when she reaches adulthood. The wall of her left ventricle has limited flexability and as her heart grows the left ventricle wall will be stretched and thinned. I searched the net for anything that might strengthen her heart and help her heart grow naturally. CoQ10 seemed the best bet so I tried 60-100mg daily for a year with no change on her echocardiogram. Before the chemo her echo reading showed 39% fractional shortening and after the chemo it was (and still is) 30%. I have been told by the cardiologist that there is nothing that can be done. Does anyone have any suggestions?
