Insulin resistance with low blood pressure and underweight?

I apologize I posted this message in both I and II diabetes forums cause I wasn't sure where to post it.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Here's the thing, today my ND reviewed my latest lab control tests. Turns out my fasting insulin level is 5 (considered normal) but after 75g of a glucose load the second reading (2 hours after the fasting one) was 60. The other test regarding the glucose curve was normal in every way. He thinks I might be developing insulin resistance. The problem I have with that is that, as far as I know, insulin resistance is associated with weight gain and high blood pressure. Two of my chronic problems are low weight and low blood pressure. So it doesn't really make sense.

I'm already on a very restrictive diet and the ND suggested me an even worse one.

Finally, I've been chelating to take out mercury for 20 weeks now, so I'm wondering if mercury could be the culprit in some way?
