could low estrogen levels mean more facial hair?

i know this is probably a silly question, but i thought i would ask it anyway! :o)

would an increase in facial hair mostly likely be purely down to increased free testosterone in the body, or could it also be due to low levels of estrogen hormone? the reason i am asking this is because my menstrual cycle seems to have been messed up recently...i used to be as regular as clockwork but now it can be 5/6 weeks before i get my period, its just random!

i am taking agnus castus which i am told can help in regulating your menstrual cycle, but what i wondered is would low estrogen levels increase facial hair?

thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this one.

x
