Is it ok to use the word "Nigger"??

I questioned a post on the use of nigger. I come from the south and this is a word we only use to harm someone. It is degrading and racist. It is different when a black man says "You ma Nigger." Meaning buddy. When a white man says, "You F.....n Nigger." It means you are the lowest scum on earth. Well this is my opinion. This is something in Jordan you would only say if you wanted to be dead in ten minutes. You just need respect. Now, maybe I am outdated. What do you guys think. This is what happened on the view.

Today On The View: Using The Word Nigger

OK so supposedly Jesse "Drunk Off Haterade" Jackson not only said he wanted to cut Barack's nuts off but he also said: "Barack…he's talking down to black people…telling s how to behave." Sigh....just why?! Jesus take the wheel and drive Rev. Jackson's ass to Mt. Zion. Anyway, the ladies on The View brought this up and got into a very heated argument about why black people can use the "N" word and why white people can't. Sherri Shepard told Barbara Walters that she can say the word and she doesn't want to ever hear it out of her mouth. Whoopi made Elizabeth cry basically telling her that we don't live in the same world and we took the word and made it our own and she doesn't know about it so she has no need to say the word.

I agree with everything that Sherri and Whoopi said but I know I am sick as hell of having this discussion. I'm tired of the damn "N" word and I'm tired of black people always having to explain to white people why we say the word and why they can't. Like if they don't get it by now they never will. And the real fact of the matter is that Jesse Jackson shouldn't have said anything that he said and his use of the word was not nearly the biggest problem. This prominent "leader" who should be supporting the one man who can and will make history and make change in this country is just showing white people and everyone else that black people will never stick together. Black people are so busy being envious and hating on one another that we get in our own damn way all the damn time. We outnumber everybody except the Mexicans and if we got over the bull and the mental destruction created by white people that in order to get ahead we have to step on each other figured and we united instead of tearing each other down we could finally run this bitch. It's sickening.

We buried this word last year in Detroit. Even had a couple of the brothers come by and throw dirt on the grave along with a few other wonderful terms. I'm glad to see the good reverend resurrect these terms. Kinda like a second coming,,,
Whoopie,,,,, Shut up for a day we live in the same world. You don't have it bad. Drive you car to the center of D town and leave the keys in it for ten minutes and let's see how we feel about or brothers then

Well my take on this discussion is kinda a twist. I grew up on knox avenue in Statesville nc, and brevard street as well. If you do your research you will find that those both are prodominetly black neighborhoods. matter of fact we were the only white family out of approx 50 families on knox ave. Now with that being said dont tell me "I have NO idea" 1st of all bury this word forever for all races. Its vulgar and sounds like comming out of anyones mouth. And if I filed a lawsuit everytime I heard the word, cracker, whitebread, litey, or ghost, I'd have more money than Don King, Jessie Jackson or PDiddy all rolled together. If we are gonna live together and have some kind of decent life together for the duration of this pitiful planet of oursa, please grow the hell up and stop squabbling over such dumb . Oh one more thing I have tried and figure out for years. Im 37 right now, have never supported racism slavery or any other form fo belittling other people of any ethnic background. What makes me responsible for what happened before my time? I mean if my father was a murderer, theif, or crook of somekind, should I be sent directly to jail from the womb? I dont think ANYONE would agree to that. All sounds like garbage to me. Lets get passed it.

Well now that im on my soap box let me continue. I have struggled ALL my life. I have always been pretty poor by monotary means. I have two kids a disabled wife and a mediocre job. Now, I have needed help for a few years now and guess what? I do not qualify, although I see many people around me of differant backgrounds getting things they need on a whim. I have seen jobs come and go that were given to "so called" "minorities" that I was WELL qualified for. I mean WTF IS there such a thing? I mean I wouldnt like to be labled as a "minority"...sounds kinda insulting to me that word. Im sorry for the bit of rambling but I have sat and listened to my wife watching episodes of "The View" on You Tube ALL morning and its really pissing me off. Whoopi, I love you girl. Loved almost EVERY movie you have played in and think your a great actress. But this garbage you guys are feeding these poor white folks on that show is irreverant and belittling to yourself. If we are going to be EQUAL, then lets ALL be EQUAL. There shouldnt be ANY word come from mine or your mouth that shouldnt be said in front of ANY other person from ANY other background. It will take people of your stature to put this BS to rest. Be a strong leader and do not encourage anyone to say such words. ITS NOT OK FOR ANYONE!!!!!!!
