Prayers for Luella

Early this morning I got a phone call from Luella's daughter in California informing me that they had to take Luella to the hospital in the middle of the night due to extreme shortness of breath.  They are keeping her for observation and no news is available at this point, although her daughter did say that she has improved since being put on an IV and, while understandibly worried, is not happy with being in a hospital.  One thing mainstream doctors usually excel at is diagnosis.

The main reason Luella went to California in the first place, besides seeing her children, was for rest and recovery.  I fear that her tying to do everything while caring for me 24/7  with my ordeal of back pain, and all the worry and stress, had taken quite a toll.  She had lost too much weight and was beginning to have anxiety and panic attacks and sometimes a racing heartbeat, though in typical Luella style, she had complained little of such things and devoted herself to caring for me and all her "family" on the forums.

Her shortness of breath may or may not be related to those problems, but since her daughter mentioned that she was spitting up stuff I suspect that it may be a respiratory infection of some kind.  Certainly being so worn down would have left her susceptible.  Also, over the past week or so she has received a number of good supplements for the heart, panic and weight issues and told me that she had been getting increasingly better, heartbeat stablizing, fewer episodes and eating and feeling better too.  But really, we will have to wait and see what the docs say.

Per her daughter and also typical of our, and MY, precious Luella, she only wanted me to make a post saying she would be out of pocket for a couple of days and unable to make posts on the forums.  But I think of you as part of Luella's family (and mine too), and I wanted to let you know and ask for your prayers for her.

Hopefully, this will be something relatively simple that we can address in short order.  As soon as I know more I will let you know.   I'm kind of numb right now myself.  Luella has become a very big part of my life.
