Beauty and Sexual Power
(Because of my buddy Anja)
So ladies (or gents), what is this thing about youth and beauty, and the sexual power that comes with it?
I work in corporations. At 52 I can totally see the whole array of this provacative sexual play. It's not overt in most cases. A natural rhythm to how men and women interact. The young beauties don't always get respect, but they get a ton of attention. The older beauties don't always get respect or attention anymore.
Is there a shelf life in a work life for interactions between men and women?
What age are you, and how do you notice your youth or age affect perceptions about who you are?
Do any of you go to extremes to keep youthful looks? Do any of you mourn your loss of youth, perhaps too much?
At what point should women finally accept their natural aging process (and be honest, because for goodness sake most women have a touch of vanity!)
Am I asking too many questions? The reason is that I just spent two weeks with my oldest girlfriends (of about 40 years). We talked alot about when we met in Jr. HS, and now. How we've changed. What we were doing to our skin and hair. There was a TON of girl talk. We talked about getting old. After all, these women knew me at 12. Holy crap.
I think it's a worthy discussion, et tu?
