You should check with your doctor in case something else is going on, but it sure sounds to me like it coul be perimenopause. Perimenopause can involve any kind of irregularities in periods, from what I've read. For a year, I was bleeding for 3 weeks then not bleeding for 2 then bleeding again. Then I took progesterone and spotted for a whole month.
