Hi. I am 46 and I am sure I am in perimenopause.(My Mom had her last period at 48.)Although my periods are still regular last year I skipped ONE period..probably a year before that I skipped one also.Otherwise as I said my periods are normal and on time.
This month I got my period a week and a half late.
It has been TEN days now of bright red blood. The blood is not tremendously heavy but unusual for me. I always finish my period by about 7 days.
So my question is-do I need to run to the Doctor for this or wait it out maybe a few more days??
(I have had a normal checkup at the Ob/gyn in the past year)
This longer, heavier period is more mentally irritating to me than anything. Also, I was under more stress this month for sure.Any words on this would be appreciated.
