Re: Boo Hoo- woe is me!
Hi Deena,
Woe is me too. I just abhor having cycles three weeks apart with all the other associated aches and pains. It's just plain not fair.
Have you checked out sensiblehealth.com? I just purchased the Chinese Bitters and Coptis and have been using them for a little over two weeks now before I got another cycle, then flushed at the beginning of the cycle. Wanted to do the
Liver Flush prior to starting to bring down estrogen levels, but my cycle coincided with the flush weekend, and I was not about to abort the flush just because of my cycle. It was very successful too. Wore me out.
Anyway, Julia Chang gives several testimonials on her website about women being able to get this horrid estrogen dominance problem under control. (The progesterone cream really did not work for me several years ago. I wonder if my body overcompensated with the estrogen because it sensed extra progesterone. I don't know.) Also, Julia Chang says the phytoestrogens - soy and other products/herbs - can help for a short period of time, but they really just mask the problem of estrogen dominance. Then the symptoms return with a vengeance. It is too early for me to tell if her products do everything she says, but I have already noticed some changes, i.e., with the Chinese Bitters I can go for longer periods during the day without having to eat - my blood
Sugar seems to be staying more stable and that is a function of the liver. Julia Chang thinks the estrogen dominance is related to a clogged liver not being able to process all the excess estrogen out of our system.
Check out her site and let me know what you think.
