gas, bloating, diarrhea, cramping HELP!

Hi!! I'm 26, never had kids, and have had the Mirena since 04/08. Prior to that I tried the Nuvaring for a few months, and before that the pill for about 8 years. I'm married, otherwise completely healthy.

For almost the same amount of time, I've had an increase in BMs, up to 5 daily, I've lost about 10#, and I have constant menstrual-like cramps. I also always feel bloated and have gas.

Initially I bled for about 6 weeks after I got the IUD, and had horrible cramping. The doctor's office kept saying this was normal, just take some ibuprofen. Then, my period just stopped, and I have never had anything since.

The strings are "missing", and I've had two ultrasounds to confirm the IUD is in the uterus, which also showed large cysts on my ovaries. My doctor INSISTS the IUD causes none of these side effects, and has sent me back to my primary care doctor.

Does anyone have these problems?? Is it possible that the IUD is embedded in my uterus? what would the symptoms be, and would it not show that on an ultrasound? I am currently trying to find a new gynecologist, and I think I will take it out.
