Hey Chris Beckett "White Heart Award"
As your go thru your sadness of these next few days and weeks, we at Sara's Soup want to give you an award for always smiling, thank God quit using that "Regards" word and for always posting here very intelligently, wisely and respectfully. Hey Chris you always stuck by me when tons were attacking me, you always took my yelling and my screaming. Why by golly, you must be a saint. One of the best so here are a few poems that my very good friend Kathy G wrote when her mom died 20 years ago.
God Bless you Chris Beckett:
O LIVE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
We can all use some magic in our ordinary day.
A little bit of humor can go a long way.
Smiles can lesson the sorrow and double the fun
And make life more enjoyable for everyone.
We have a moral responsibility to do what we can
To ease someone’s cares, to give them a hand;
To listen with compassion and try to understand;
To empathize, sympathize with our own fellow man.
Life would be beautiful if we followed this creed
And gave folks consideration by our thoughts and deeds.
We could eliminate crime as we embrace love
And give thanks to our creator for His loving touch.
For hearts capable of love and eyes that see,
For ears that hear and brains that think.
For blessings and riches and treasures untold
And a world full of beauty for us all to behold.
We should thank Him daily for the sun that shines;
For the flowers that bloom and the moon that gives light;
For thunderstorms, rainbows, rivers and streams;
For canyons and waterfalls, mountains and trees.
For the wisdom of seniors, for babies that crawl,
For the comfort of friends that cushion each fall.
Let us remember Him as we view our world with delight
And say “thank you, Lord, for giving us life.”

Out of the fire – into the calm
Out of the night – into the dawn
A sinner saved – a soul redeemed
Praying for strength – but still feeling weak
Humbled before You - my life I’d give
Ready to listen, Lord, Your way I’ll live
Witnessing for You – in poem and prose
Speaking of Your ‘word’ – until everyone knows
Spending my time – telling Your story
Forgetting the past – it’s my sad story
Living each day – anticipating Heaven
Leaving Hell behind – in Satan’s dominion
Lifting my eyes, Lord - for you to see
Strengthening my soul – down on my knees
Reaching upward, higher – now pure in heart
Knowing I’m Your child – and it’s a new start
Out of the dark – into the sun
You and I, Lord – and we’ve just begun
We’ve only just begun…..
