herbs for relaxing

hello

I am looking for an herb that is very relaxing and can calm the mind.

I have a medical diagnosis of bipolar depression, and medication is actually working really well. Really really well.

And I wanted to see if there's anything alternative out there that I could use to help when I start to experience some mania.

also, if this is not the forum to ask this question, I'd appreciate someone pointing out to me where I can post this.
