Re: remineralizing water

I use silica in my water to help saturate it. Trying to find good all around mineral sources is a problem. Many of the colloidal minerals contain high amounts of aluminum since they come from the shale deposits in Utah. You could use an unrefined Sea Salt or trace mineral rock salt, but the salt may not make the water taste too good. The nice thing about silica is that it is cheap, safe and beneficial. It can be found in health food stores. Silica helps to strengthen bones, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, skin, etc. through collagen and elastin formation. It also helps with cartilage through the formation of chondroitin.

Another option is to add a little Bentonite clay to your water. The water will dissolve some of the minerals in the clay and the rest will sink to the bottom. As with silica just add some more water as the water level goes down and let it settle out again. A little of either will go a long way.
