Re: Seabuckthorn-anyone tried, heard of it?

It looks like a really great supplement. I just have to tell you that I don't know if I'm feeling good because of where I am in my cycle or what (we'll see this next week when I ovulate) but I have been seeing that NAET doc. I had some time a couple weeks ago when I had no energy and hadn't been gaining any weight. He found that I was reacting to amylase and ptylain. He "cleared" me and said that I haven't been breaking down any starches. It reminds me of the candida thing and he thought that maybe the mirena had affected some enzymes. The wierd thing is that side effects of Amylase deficiency can be:

rash
hypoglycemia
depression
mood swings
allergies
PMS
hot flashes
fatigue
cold hands and feet
neck and shoulder aches
sprue
inflammation

I ended up having my blood drawn for amylase this last week and it was 39. The range is 21-101. And I had this cleared a couple weeks ago so supposedly it could have come up because of the "clearing". As far as how I feel, I've had a few days where I have been super hungry and I haven't felt that way in a while. No feelings of having food sitting in my stomach like I was getting. Wierd. I also have been feeling the last couple of days like I'm starting to gain some weight back and that I may have to start watching it.

Also, he "cleared" me last week of progesterone and this time added plastics to it. I have to say that this is the most clear my head has been in a while. I've felt really good and been very productive the last couple weeks. Not 100%, but better. I'm not sure if I posted before about the clearing of progesterone by itself. The head fog went away for about 3 days and then came back. He said that it is your body trying, but there is a missing piece. I really believe imitating the mirena has been a big help. Probably holding an actual mirena would give even better results.

Did you ever have your adrenals checked? Today I'm doing a 24 hour urine for Iodine test. I guess it's another test for the thyroid? We'll see what happens with that. I hope you start to feel better.
