--answer--Oxidant vs Anti-oxidant, What are they?--Iodine?

Hi Mia,

Your comment: POTASSIUM IODIDE

pH 7 - 9

http://chemicalland21.com/lifescience/phar/POTASSIUM%20IODIDE.htm

Perhaps another oxidation factor here is that POTASSIUM IODIDE is a powerful germicide and when used alone in large doses it creates free radical overload.

Answer: The only reason for the pH of 7-9 may be because of the Potassium attached to the Iodine element!

Remove the Alkaline Mineral and replace it with Hydrogen and you have your Strong Acid !

This refering to Oxidation and Free Radicals may do nothing , but lead to Confusion of the Facts?

Most folks have absolutly --No-- idea what it means, thus this Confusion may be used as a Sales tool to Sell anything someone wants to Claim to be Oxidants or Anti-oxidants, just because it sounds Fancy !

Then these Sales Hype folks throw in Free Radicals to add to the Confusion and most of them may Fail to understand the Confusion they are spreading?

All in the name of Greed to sell another product and take your Hard earned Cash to Fatten their own Money purse !

Cause and Effect !

Smile Tis your choice.
