stretch marks

so i recently discovered some stretch marks on my thigh/butt. i am 17 years old and i am NOT pregnant and i have not recenttly gained or lost a lot of weight. i maintain my weight. i recently started using a skin firming lotion to get rid of some cellulite in the same area as the stretch marks. they are not too severe and they are white but i dont know if they started out more red and i just didnt notice or if they just appeared like this. i dont know why i am getting these marks but i was wondering if it could be from the lotion. if it is, should i stop using it or continue. some people say that it helps to get rid of stretch marks but i am getting the feeling that it is giving me stretch marks.
