Re: God? Yes and No
it's not about making up my mind- you must not be understanding. You seem to be asking, "Are we God or are we Oneness?"
Once again, the "either or" conundrum.
"God" IS Oneness.
Oneness as the irreducible inter-beingness of ALL existence.
Atheists argue against the concept of "God" put forth by religion. Since the all powerful external spirit-being doesn't exist, they think that spirit itself doesn't exist.
Everything becomes random, pointless, and ultimately of no consequence. Consciousness becomes an epiphenomenon- an accident in an already accidental world populated by accidental life in an accidental universe.
We are reaching the point in mankind's evolution where we transcend the concept of an external God and realize that Spirit is right here right now. God is not a being..God IS beingness itself.
One camp (reductionist science) denies Spirit all together, the other (religion) endlessly bifurcates existence into the "material" and the "spiritual" as co-existing separately.
But what if reality was the synthesis of the two- "Matter" as spirit made "materially" manifest.
And since everything exists in relation to the whole, and not in isolation, there is only Oneness.
Everything is an aspect of one singular play of life as it evolves.
The is no "self" and "other". Because we have tended to think of the environment as the "other than self" we have reduced the earth of an inhospitable toxic landfill and we are on the verge of causing the extinction of all life on this planet.
This is why this profound misconception of the discreet separate self has been very deleterious, but ultimately a necessary step in our evolution.
We will realize it before it is too late? We will have to wait and see.
