The Survivor Mural Project

Hi, I have recently initiated a project to raise global awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence: http://www.survivormuralproject.com


The Survivor Mural Project is a collaborative art project, and an opportunity for all survivors of rape, sexual abuse and assault to participate in breaking the silence surrounding sexual violence. Participants have the option to remain anonymous if they wish.

How it works:
Survivors from all over the world will send in individual mural pieces (8cm by 8cm), which will then be placed into a larger panel, made up of hundreds of mural pieces. The project will be exhibited online in our gallery, and will also be put together to form a traveling patchwork mural.

Each individual mural piece represents a life that has been affected by sexual violence. Regardless of how detailed or simple your piece is, it will help to make a powerful visual statement to the global community. You do NOT need to be an artist!
