Re: Considering colonics...
I get weekly vitamin IV's, and I realize that every time I go, there is a potential for contamination. If you watch what they do, you realize that the process is done by people, and they are not perfect. It seems to me that where there is human waste there is potential for contamination. Since I can't give myself IV's and they help so much, I go. If I could administer it to myself at home, I would.
Dealing with fecal matter is serious. For example, I have an ozone machine. I do rectal insufflation with catheters. Somehow, even though I use one time use disposable catheters and I'm super careful about cleanliness, some fecal bacteria got up in the tubes and began to multiply. I had to throw out the tubes, the attachment clips and the oxygen cup and get all new stuff. It was expensive but it happens. I just feel that there is some risk even if it's slight, and if it's something you can do for yourself, that may reduce the risk of adding to your problems.
Don't want to make you paranoid, but I've come to see that when dealing with anything that enters your body, safer is better.
