So let me get this straight. You are missing 4 teeth now? Two front teeth? Yikes! Were those root canal teeth or did they have fillings? So you have no metal at all in your mouth, no new composite fillings? Are you getting implants now or do you have dentures or something? You are so young!

This is my worse fear because I want to replace my mercury fillings as well. Huggins said there is a chance of losing a tooth if the filling is deeply embedded. Honestly, I don't know what's worse, losing a tooth or living with the mercury.

You realize that ALL composite fillings have metal in them of some sort. If I removed all of my teeth with fillings, I'd have almost no teeth. For health, I think that is a lot worse than new composite fillings. In numerous studies, the number of teeth you have is a pretty good indicator of how long you will live. Now the question is, do the lack of teeth create ill health or does ill health create the lack of teeth or both?

Let us know what you did or any other information you can pass on. I'm still VERY nervous about having this done, and I've waited years to do it. You had 6 fillings, I have 15!
