Home Colonics gone wrong?

I hope someone out there can help.

I bought my mom a home colonics kit (Colema Board). When she tried it after the first gallon, she had severe abdominal pain. She went to the doctor. And the sigmoidoscopy revealed that she had abnormally gray colon walls. She is still in some pain and bery hesitant to continue the colonic. What happened? Should she continue with the colonic? What is that gray matter in her intestines? Why did she experience so much pain?

SHe is still in pain and it's been 3 days. She's going to see a doctor today.
