Re: Salt levels must be cut further to reduce premature deaths
I'm not nutritionist.
I need more studying on what the make of foods.
I'm simple.
To me, salt, one needs just to keep the heart functioning correctly.
One family member, made her husby go without any salt.
She said the salt was in the food.
She fed him just those cans of Ensure.
She said that all nutrition was in that can.
She would force feed him(husby)in bed.
One day I brought her husby some carrot juice.
You should have seen her face.
It was like "why bring something healthy for my husband to
take"look.
She tried to jerk it out of his hands while this guy was
hungrily downing it.
My mouth dropped that she refused him something he wanted and it mite have been good for his health?
The guy lost 30 pounds and was a size 32 in the waist.
Time went by and her husband said that she was putting him on another diet. You guessed it another 30 pounds. He was already lean and so light weight.
I could not interfere. The doctor should have stopped the
matter since this guy was going to him. I did not want to be accused of getting inbetween a husband and wife.
Personally I think the right salt might be good for the body don't you.
I would think a that the heart could not function without any salt in food or body.
I know there is such a thing as natural salt that is in celery that one needs to lubricate the joints and bones.
And just learn that if the body has too much salt that it is bad when trying to take iodine. I don't know if it is a certain kind of iodine.
But the iodine may not work if there is too much salt.
Or is it just using sea salt?...
