Re: Midwife

I had another question about the midwifery. I was wondering how you handle it when a client tears. Do you suture or what do you do? Or is there a way to prevent this from even happening? Did you learn how to use catheters, IV's, injections and that sort of stuff? I was wondering because the Midwives college of Utah teaches how to do these methods and with knowing the herbalist view about not breaking the skin I was wondering if I should even learn how to do it because I don't think I would ever need to use them but I am not sure. What is your advice since you are a midwife and have the experience maybe you could tell me what you think. Would you ever need to suture someone up or do any of the other things?

Thanks for the advice
