Re: First doing a coffee enema - question....
Dear Light, addressing your second point first, of course you are correct. Tapwater in general is not healthy to take into your body orally, let alone directly into your colon. I used the term carelessly since in my home I have a high quality filter that removes chlorine along with toxic pathogens, both virus and bacteria, so I don't hesitate to fill the enema bag or the coffee pot with tapwater.
On your first point about my suggesting a cleansing enema prior to a coffee enema, I was always told that the reason for doing this was to cleanse the accumulation of waste matter from the walls of the colon first, so when the coffee was introduced it would not be inhibited by a coating of waste from being absorbed into the blood vessels.
That's why I have been taking a plain
water enema prior to a coffee enema. While I usually take a cleansing enema once a week or so, I only do a
coffee enema around the change of seasons unless I feel the need for additional cleansing.
A close friend tells me that she uses warmed bottled water for her enemas, just above body temperature, and no more than 103 degrees F at preparation.
Light, thank you for your good advice.
