heavy bleeding and acupuncture

hello

i recently had two acupuncture sessions for heavy heavy periods. the first session lasted for about and hour, 30 mins were spent with needles in legs, feet, tummy and pelvic bone area?

the second session a few days later lasted about 15 mins needles were in back for 5 mins then in legs and feet for 10 mins. i have not noticed any difference as yet and after the first session i have been bleeding even heavier.

i know it takes time but i just wondered should i be having longer sessions? i feel like the treatment had not even been a 'drop in the water' of my problem but im still going to carry on going. also are there any supplements i can take to help give my treatment a boost? Acupuncture is my last option and so i could really do with some advice
