Eliminating negative self talk
After working with a client that I hypnotized today, I thought of an interesting idea to 'alter' negative self talk (based on
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuro-linguistic_programming).
So you're reading this bulletin, and you may be aware of some of the 'negative' self talk that you have. Now, I'm wondering, when you are 'talking' negatively to yourself, where do you notice the voice coming from?
Is it:
1) In front of your head?
2) to the right side of your head?
3) to the left side of your head?
4) behind your head?
5) Above your head?
6) Below your head?
7) if none of these, where is it?
Who's voice is it?
1) Is it your own voice?
2) Is it someone elses?
How does this voice sound?
1) Is it demanding?
2) demeaning?
3) ETC.
Now, after running threw this checklist, I'm wondering if you can imagine what your reaction would be if it were to come from your feet...so when you walk around you can 'stomp' this voice out? and how it might also affect you if this voice were to sound like daffy duck, or someone that you don't and or can't take seriously?
I'm offering free hypnosis sessions via skype in exchange for a testimonial if anyone is interested.
