Re: Need help: Is it in my mind after all?
I've had a similar experience.
I went out clubbing and had a terrible ringing in my ears. However, what was very odd was 2 days the concert, my ears became severely plugged. This plugged sensation lasted about 8 months, so I'm assuming it was a virus. However, I also noticed that my ears began popping ALOT. This lasted for several months until it became normal. As for your T, I don't know exactly how you got it, but I know that many people get T after a really bad cold (like you). One thing that is different between your approach was you used
Antibiotics and had your ears syringed. I visited a doctor who told me I would have to "live with it." (Very non-helpful). However, I noticed as the months passed by, my T went down drastically in volume and I started having bouts of pure silence (even in a dead quiet environment) for hours, then days. Besides seeking medical treatment, in my opinion your mindset and eating and exercising habits can play a roll in your T. However, although there is a plethora of causes for T, and you were not exposed to loud music, it might be in your mind, since you stated "you were trying" to hear it. If your T has died down, DO NOT TRY AND LOOK FOR IT! I'm very happy that you have started to habituate and the sound has died down, but do not look for your T and try to find it. If you're still having slight symptoms, I have several websites that may help.
