Has a fast ever set you back in building muscle?

The last few years I've done a number of fasts. They made me feel great, but I think I lost a lot of muscle from them. During my first fast I got SUPER skinny (and RIPPED), a lot of muscle came back after I finished my fast, but I think I still skinnier than I should be.

Maybe it's just fat inside the muscle that went away and never came back. I'm not sure. I just recently got interested in building muscle again so it's hard for me to tell what really happened. I know I'm a lot skinnier than I was in the past though. But it's also possible that with all the detox stuff I've been doing, I just neglected the protein issue and stayed skinnier than normal. I'm actually planning on eating a lot of raw eggs for now on to make sure I get enough protein.

Have any of you done fasts while serious about fitness/bodybuilding? What kind of effect did it have on your muscle percentage?

Granted, most people on curezone probably could care less about muscle size (this forum seems a bit dead), but I'm sure there are some. I'm interested in hearing about your fasting experiences mixed with bodybuilding.
