Jay-sus! My friends! Sometimes it really is as simple as GOOD kids just wanting to get dressed up, being together and having fun! I've spent the better part of this day getting my daughter ready for the "prom." We had, weeks earlier, selected a lovely, vintage-style dress and jewelry to match. Today, she had the rare priviege of getting her hair and make-up done at a salon. This is a girl who is a straight-A student, a member of the marching/symphonic/jazz band. She is going out for dinner with her friends, then the "prom" and after that coming home with her gang to have snacks, play video games, mingle, etc. I love and trust my daughter because I KNOW her. I RAISED her. It is now my privilege to watch her bloom and grow into a very self-assured young lady. I trust her completly! At one point, when she was getting her make-up done for the very first time and I was watching, she mouthed to me: "Am I pretty?" I mouthed back: "You are beautiful!"
