Needing help and Advice!!!
Hi Dr. Shutter,
Surfer27 here. I am a 27yr old male, from Ontario Canada and I was needing your advice, on a rather touchy subject. It has to do with rectum odors coming out of my body all the time. The questions, I have are this. I have seen my doctor, whose known me for 20 yrs. He examined my sphincter hole area and said, he didn't smell anything abnormal at all. I had a colonoscopy done and the results came back as normal as well. My question, is this: If you have a fecal
Body Odor , that follows you around, all the time 24/7, what could be the cause of it? I talked to my doctor more on this and he ruled out, constipation and IBS all together. If it's not that, as he was saying and the doctor, who did the colonscopy on me, said I have no infection, then what could be causing these problems for me, on a continual basis? Could it be hemorrhoids, anal fissure, fistula, external sphincter not closing up fully, what? I am needing your help and advice on this matter, as this problem has, to date, permanently destroyed everything in my life. I currently have no social life whatsoever, because of this. I don't feel comfortable leaving the home anymore, because my body is consistantly smelling like feces and I definetly, don't feel comfortable going to work anymore, not even volunteering, because I, have had certain comments made to me, saying that I smell like crap, etc, etc. Nowhere else on my body, does it smell, but my butt area. Could this be a sign of an bacterial infection, even though one of the doctor specialists ruled it out? Could it be a yeast infection possibly? Please get back to me asap on this, as I am wanting, to get my normal life back, to where it was 2 yrs ago. Something, I should mention is, my external sphincter does close up properly after having a bowel movement. Just the external hole area. I have got good internal sphincter strength, but, my outer external sphincter area doesn't want to fully close up. I did have an unfortunate event, happen to me 2 yrs ago and I believe, that that's why I am, going through what, I am going through today. Please get back to me when you can. Thankyou. Take care.
