what helped me

Ive struggled with bulimia for the past 2 years, and binge eating for the past 8 or 9 years. I dont think i fall in the category of what a typical bulimic is. I think mine started out of stress/lack of sleep/fasting/and doing extreme dietary changes. I actually didnt even want to loose weight. Ive been putting off writing this for a while, but i know a lot of people are hurting, and what helped me, might help others. There are a few things that helped me and still help me with binging and purging.

Lack of sleep will set me up for failure, so if i dont get enough sleep im more likely to binge later on in the day. Things that help me sleep are calcium/ magnesium/ potassium/ and iron(if your not anemic omit this) and rooibos tea another name is red tea. The next tool i discovered is kefir, it cant be the kind you buy from the store, it has to be the kind you make yourself with the live grains(google it), Ive tried many kinds of fermented foods and kefir is the only one that will give you a sense of well being, in fact i dont think ive ever had any food that gives me a sense of well being except for maybe coffee but with kefir theres no crash. actually kefir in Turkey means "feel good", in about 3 to 5 minutes it starts kicking in and you will feel it. The next thing i found was milk thistle seed. Milk thistle seemed to get a little expensive so i would make my own, plus i read that there are certain nutrients in milk thistle that are extracted better by grain alcohol, so what i would do is buy milk thistle seed in the bulk in one pound bags which would cost no more than 12 dollars, grind one or two cups of the seeds in a coffee mill, pour it into a quart jar, and pour vodka in it just enough to cover all the seed and let it soak about a day, then i would take about a table spoon and make a tea with it. I know this is a lot of work but ive bought the pill form before and there is know comparison. I needed something that worked cause i was killing myself and i could really tell a difference after drinking this. Im a much nicer person to be around after i have my milk thistle too :). Another thing that helps is moderate exercise, i do less irrational things when i get my daily 10 minute jog in. I also do very easy weight bearing execises which normally doesnt last longer than 15 minutes. Another thing that helps is a good quality green tea, the reason i say good quality is that the amount of theanine can vary and lesser qualities have less theanine. Theanine is an amino acid that is calming.(green tea helps to motivate me to exercise too.) And finally liver flushing, ive only did 7 of them but they seem to help too. I wouldnt recommend anyone to just jump in and flush cause if its not done right there could be a backlash. Spending a good amount of time researching and reading old posts would be a good idea. I think finding someone on the curezone to mentor you and walk you through it would be the way to go. I dont know if i would have been as successful if i didnt find a great friend on Curezone to walk me through it. Liver Flushing might not be a good thing for the very weak or emaciated person which can happen with bulimia cause it can temporarly drain you but in the long run it is very beneficial.By doing these things i went from binging and purging on the average of 4 times a day to havent doing it for 4 weeks now.I know this wont help everyone but there might be an idea here that will help someone.
