Rebounding: Awesome Exercise!

I attended a 3 day health seminar this weekend via live stream video and got really pumped. A guy mentioned rebounding- how it was "like the best exercise ever." I knew Schulze was also totally jazzed about rebounding, so I thought, "OK, I gotta do this."

My kids have a big trampoline out in the back yard. So yup, "Mom" got on that thing this afternoon. I was alone out there, so I didn't have a way to pull myself up to standing. I can figure something out, but today I just wanted to get out there. I was able to get up to kneeling. I bounced kneeling, on my hands and knees, and sitting.

What a blast! It was a workout! My heart was pounding, I had to regulate my breath, my circulatory system was chugging along, and my lymphatic system was having a party! My endorphins were kicking in, my hair was flying all over the place, and I started giggling to myself like I was ten years old again. I'd bounce for a minute and have to catch my breath for a minute. I was getting sun and fresh air, and since I was barefoot, walking out to the trampoline and back up to the house, I was grounded on the planet. I did that for about 10 minutes today. I wasn't afraid at all, because I knew if I fell, it would be a soft landing, and I might bounce back up again. :-)

This is a fantastic, fun exercise for anybody. But for a dystrophy diva, it's awesome!!!!

Ha ha, we're throwing "age" away. I'm 52 (yes, kids, I am 52- rock on, Boomers!). It might as well mean 25. 60 is 12. Soooo much fun!
