Re: Colloidal Silver vs. MMS & Claims vs. Facts
Hello Jon,
That is a very interesting article, and with the current concern over the flu, should be reviewed with new interest. However, the results for the 15 minute delay dampen some of this interest.
I have run some tests on something similar to this, and anecdotally have been able to stop the spread of infections between people living under the same roof. I am getting prepared to see if it is possible to control kennel cough, but it is difficult to set up a test like this. When the opportunity presents itself, I will see if I can do a more formal study.
Their results indicate that free floating in the air, it doesn't take much of a concentration of ClO2 in the air to kill off a virus. However, when it lands on something, or inside the body, it becomes much harder to kill off. This same trend has also been observed in preventing mold and mildew formation.
In the body, your immune system is able to handle some of the load, so all that is needed is to reduce the concentration of the virus. The information I presented was for a 100% kill.
The CT values for bacteria vary all over the place. They range from 5 - 100 for around a 6 log reduction (99.9999% kill), but TB has a CT of 5000.
Often, it is only necessary to provide a 2 - 3 log reduction. If you have a colony of 1 million, a 3 log reduction would leave you with 1000 left. While this may not be effective with Anthrax, it probably is effective with the flu.
