By the way folks, when peppers are dried, they become much (much!) hotter. So a tincture made from primarily raw Habaneros is not nearly as hot as one made with dried African Bird Peppers...even though the African Bird Peppers are rated as 'less hot' than the Habbies.
Apparently all the H.U. (heat unit) ratings are done when the peppers are fresh.
