help for this back pain?

I strained my back a few weeks ago and it is still giving me problems..I was wondering what I can do for it ?
I have a degenerative L3 or 4 vertabrae and its flared up on me at the momemt.. had went to chiro and he got me straightened out for about 6months but like I say I have injured it again..
it is low back pain and gets worse when I do any bending/stooping or even just standing at this point...
it is bothering me now and I am sitting..
and I gotta get out there and wash the vehicle for the trip and I don't feel able to do it.I started my monthly last night so that pain is bothering me too...

I have been using the heating pad on it with no relief
I tried the deep tissue repair oil and had anxiety from it ...
I can't take the herbal tinctures due to sensitivities so I am stumped here as to what I can do to get better..
haven't got the money to go back to chiro right now either as he will want to see me several times...
I got so bad last night I could hardly get up outta the chair and walk..I am so stiff and in pain..

what can I do ? I am getting desperate here..
