Re: ANy tips on using Fung Shui in a barn attic style bedroom with no windows?

My thoughts on this are:

1. Divide the room into areas - I take it that it is also your living space. Use a screen to divide off the sleeping area. Or even a curtain not something too heavy, I'm picturing something light and airy, possibly 3 or more layers of sheer curtaining. You don't want to shut the area out completely it will close the room up too much.

2. Make yourself some windows - paint large canvases with landscapes, garden scenes, add window frames (paint or get some old windows). Attach a real curtain to add to the effect.

Closet doors can be painted to look like they are french doors, I've got plans to do this myself.

I don't know what barn attic style is like, am I right in guessing there are exposed beams? Again fabric can come to the rescue here, drape or stretch it between beams to hide them. I think this would work ok if you find that the only position for a bed is under beams. The "arrows" coming from beams across the bed can be harmful and may cause health problems.

Remember the main thing is to do what feels right for YOU, my thoughts may be fine for me but not be for you.
