Classical Feng Shui
Hi,
I just found this forum and thought that I would jump in.
I am a trained Classical Feng Shui Practitioner, trained by Master Joseph Yu in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Joseph offers correspondence courses in the Basic, the East/West School and then the Advanced Flying Stars course. You can find him at www.astro-fengshui.com. He is one of the top five, or higher Feng Shui Masters in the world. I have attended many seminars with him and have also studied Four Pillars of Destiny, a system of Chinese Astrology. The courses are good to begin with, but attendance at a seminar with Joseph is like finding gold nuggets!! He really knows his stuff.
The primary purpose of any audit is to get the current Period 8's energy (qi) into your home so that your life will go as smoothly as possible. We do this through analyzing the Flying Stars -- there are nine of them, all with different characters. There are 9 Water stars for Wealth and 9 Mountain stars for Health. In addition, there are 9 Time stars which determine whether the other stars will work for you or not. Along with their different characters, these stars also represent the five elements. We use the elements to enhance or to weaken the stars, whichever is required.
The home is divided into a 'pie chart' which indicates which stars are entering the home. We can also determine how you fit the house, whether it is Suitable, Moderately Suitable, Moderately Unsuitable or Unsuitable for you.
The Wind and Water of Feng Shui: Within each 20 year period (we are in Period 8 now, just begun on February 4, 2004 and it will be benevolent), the qi comes from the mountain. It should gather in a pool of water (or flat land) from where we can make use of it. The mountain of this period is in the Northeast. There must be a mountain (house or actual rise in land) in that direction; then, the Wealth comes from a 'pool of qi' which must be in the Southwest. A secondary auspicious direction for Wealth is the East for this 20 years. The precious 8 Water star for Wealth comes from the Southwest; you need a window or door in that section of your home in order to make use of the star. When that 8 Water star enters your home, it alone can resolve many problems. If it does not, however, then you will spend money a lot (perhaps on what would be considered normal things -- car repairs, TV repairs, etc.) but you will not gain Wealth in that period; not good.
Fountains should be used with caution; they are used to activate a Wealth star. If you activate a bad star, it could be very bad.
Also, if you have a 'mountain' in the Northeast -- and you also have a swimming pool between the 'mountain' and your home, the Wind carries the qi into the swimming pool. It cannot reach your home and you do not have use of the qi. Remedy: fill in the pool.
That is how Wind and Water work.
The East/West School is good for 50% of the time. Half of the house is good and half of the house is bad. It is best if you can get the direction of your home, the date that it was built and then analyze the stars.
I would most heartily recommend that you try Joseph's courses because he is authentic and not a charlatan. One needs to be very wary in studying FS in North America. Joseph still does original research in the old Chinese papers; he is ethical.
