You want the leaf, not the root. The leaf is highly nutritious, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, and builds the adrenals.

Nettle root is used as an aromatase inhibitor, so it is used to treat estrogen sensitive cancers, and to help maintain testosterone levels.
