Oh YES, HopeBlossom - HYDRATION - Water/Seasalt
Yes, I almost forgot to get back here for this.
Did I share...(I really should journal, but alas, I've probably said that a million times - I think I like to practice my typing skills! lol)
Anyway, did I share with you the importance of hydration? Long before I learned about iodine, I learned how very important water is...hence my name when I started here at CureZone.
Two good sites to check out:
watercure.com
and
watercure2.org
I got over lots of problems (including
Arthritis and high blood pressure and breathing problems) simply by hydrating myself properly. I have also learned how incredibly important hydration is for my thyroid, (and subsequently getting enough sleep at night - I've learned that my thyroid does MUCH better if I get myself to bed by 10pm, but I am afraid that old habits die VERY hard! lolol)
Bottom line is:
Whatever you weigh, you should drink HALF your pound-weight in
ounces of water.
Weigh 100 lbs?
drink 50
ounces of water daily
Weigh 180 lbs?
drink 90
ounces of water daily
Think about it - H2O - your cells need that - the more you weigh, the more water your body needs...and yes, if you're not used to it, you'll need to be close to a bathroom in the beginning. But the bladder muscles strengthen over time - give yourself three weeks to adjust.
For every
quart of water you drink, you should consume 1/4 teaspoon of good mineral-laden
Seasalt . (
My choice is Redmond's RealSalt, which I find at my local health food store, but there is loads of wonderful information about it on that website.)
Personally, I have a two-quart glass bottle that I add a level half-teaspoon of salt (and now also a level 1/4 teaspoon of 20-Mule Team Borax for the boron). I like the taste, but others may prefer getting their salt another way. I also still heavily salt my food, but my BP is still "classic text-book perfect" - 120/80)!
Two
quarts would suggest I weigh 128 - I wish! lol I get the rest of my water in taking my
Iodine and having a little at bedtime.
I've been wanting to tell you, too...that I love your name...much prettier than the childhood memory it sparked for me. A nickname my dear departed-mama called me that I had all but forgotten, was 'Fartblossom'...lolol.
