A couple of weeks ago I went grocery shopping as usual. During that trip I purchased two large bundles of organic broccoli. I have been doing the fruit/veggie soak per Moreless' instruction. I used a large one gallon pitcher to soak my first bundle of broccoli (using other containers for fruits). I figured I would soak the next bundle the following day. The next day I emptied the container, rinsed my broccoli and was about to prepare the soak for my next bundle. Unfortunately, my husband had to be rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with perforated diverticulitis and peritonitis w/ 105 fever...out of the blue...he never knew he had an issue. Yep, serious IV antibiotics, emergency surgery and now a stint with a colostomy bag. Scary as we almost lost him. Scarier that he is, for the time being, a slave to western medicine. But that's not the story.

Two weeks later when my husband was to be released, I did the normal preparation and was cleaning my house. When I got to the refrigerator, ==========I was amazed to see that the broccoli that had been soaked appeared much the same as the day I purchased it with deep green heads and leaves.========== And yet the other bundle, purchased the same time, from presumable the same batch/crop, was slimy, brown and rotten.==========

So, there you have it. An accidental and eye-opening lil' test. And to think they waste billions upon billions of dollars with fancy research.

Edit by Moreless: The Moral of this is that those who may have mostly Poor Quality foods available to them, by Soaking them in peroxide water overnite, this may Improve their Quality Greatly? When we learn to use what we have to the Best of our abilities we may find Blessings as this Success Testimonial attest to the food being Better Quality because it was Soaked in the peroxide water over nite!
