Improving Memory

I am 34 and I can not absorb information the way I used to; people can explain things to me and I will have no idea what they said. I find it hard to study; I can probably study for an hour, but can not remember the details. I read a book last month, it was only 100 pages. If someone had asked about the book, there would be no way that I could explain about what I'd read. I could give them an intro based on the title, but as to giving them a full report would be difficult.

This is what I was planning, please give your opinions.
