Re: St. Johns Wort Question - Astaxanthin to prevent sun sensitivity?

Reading the research on astaxanthin as a sunscreen shows it is not as impressive as the marketing people will let you believe. http://www.cyanotech.com/pdfs/bioastin/batl35.pdf http://www.cyanotech.com/pdfs/bioastin/batl36.pdf http://www.cyanotech.com/pdfs/bioastin/batl37.pdf Check out Glisodin, an oral SOD formulation, research shows it can affect skin sensitivity with an SPF factor of 7. http://research.glisodin.org/category/uv-protection/ Glisodin also positively affects mood. I am a skintype 1 and using both with some encouraging results. I daily take 8mg total of astaxanthin and 1000 mg total of SOD.
