I think the following thread will be of interest to you as it goes through the Transformation process of a Scorpio (Scorpio & it's ruler Pluto is all about Transformation so alllll Scorpio go through many transformations throughout their lives...they are REFINING themselves...letting go off the dross...and emerging as the Phoenix)

I can't really imagine any really excellent astrologer saying that Evil came from Scorpio!! yikes. An unevolved individual may think that...Scorpios have always got such a bad wrap and I love 'em! They are ruled by Pluto which, it's true, is very intense and, like all planets, can be extremely positive or extremely negative. Negative qualities tend to involve Power: power struggles, manipulation... and the postiive qualities involve letting the amazingly powerful energy of Pluto just flow THROUGH you (not have it stuck in your Ego) in order to heal others and do some good in the world - for Pluto is a very powerful healer and regenerator too! You see, you can use the Plutonic force for 'good or evil'...just depends on how evolved each individual is...and if you've chosen to be a Scorpio or have a very strong Pluto then you really desire to tranform in this life..and learn to use the immensely powerful energy at your fingertips for the good of others - let it flow through you...
