Pycnogenol and grapeseed are similar but not the same


Pycnogenol and grapeseed are similar and offer many of the same benefits but are not exactly the same thing - a likely reason why you see so many quality supplements that include both pycnogenol.  Pycnogenol is not merely a brand name for grape seed, but is instead an extract obtained from the maritime pine bark tree.  Unless one is isolating specific compounds, it is virtually impossible to get the exact same mix of compounds from two different kind of plant sources.
