I live in southern oregon. This sounds like a scam to me. No one can take a product out of the forest in southern oregon without a permit. It is not a free for all. I would check on that. We have museums here that focus on the early settlers. No mention of wagon loads of clay or mud. The natural spings in ashland have that kind of reputation but i know of no other area that has ever claimed such a thing.
