Firstly your scale may not be accurate. What is the minimum weight increment? Mine is 0.1 pound. Is it analogue or digital? Analogues have a zero adjustment (check this hsn't been moved), they can also sometimes stick and give wrong readings. Also the ground needs to be level and flat. Try getting on and off when the scale is in the same position (repeatability test). Then try weighing yourself several times with the scale in different places on the floor (check for variation in the levelness of the scale). Try standing on the scale with your feet in different positions (checking for eccentric error). If there are big differences when you move about on the platform, perhaps time to get a new scale.

Other than that it has to be water content increasing I would guess. Did you take any salt? That will make you gain water. I assume not though as you are fasting. If you have been exercising it could be dehydration, but again I presume you are not doing that because you are fasting.

Your body also has different weights according to the time of day. It's best to weigh at the same time each day. I do it in the mornings after I have been to the bathroom.

I'm assuming you don't have any underlying medical conditions that would cause your body to change weight, but if you didn't I wouldn't know about them anyway.

That's all I can think of, water or scale. If you are doing the weighing accurately, I would think it has to be water content.
